Easycom: This Aspire One has 512MB of memory integrated into the mainboard, and has a slot for an additional DIMM (512mb or 1GB). The 1GB models come with a 512mb unit already in this slot. Please be aware that there is no external access to the RAM slots on the Aspire One, so upgrading the memory will require voiding the warranty (opening the case).

Easycom: Unfourtunately this model only comes with linux operating systems. However, there are similar lightweight models on the website that do have XP.

peterh: The Aspire One is Acers own netbook, a competitor to the Asus EEE PC, MSI's Wind, Dell's Mini Inspiron, HP's Mini-Note, etc. etc. - Neither version of the Aspire One has an optical drive, but both support external USB optical drives. If you put the Linux version of the Aspire One online, you can download a wide range of software from the online software catalog absolutely free of charge.

peterh: Yes, you can install iTunes onto this netbook - It has a 120GB HDD so should be plenty for your collection. It is also possible to put your iTunes library onto an external USB hard-drive.

peterh: The highest resolution I have personally seen an Aspire One running via the VGA port is 1600x1200 (on a Linux aspire one). The XP version is 1024x600 native, but drivers support greater than that (have seen up to 1400 x 900 but others are supported, depending on your external display). As with most things, updating drivers or using alternate drivers can give you more options.
