Easycom: The laptop will play Sims 2 at a low quality setting. If you want to run the game with high quality graphics you should really look for a laptop with a dedicated graphics card, though it will be slightly more expensive.

Easycom: Yes of course you need to find out these drivers also. Then you should install xp. But for start installing xp you only need SATA Drivers. But i recommend u to find out all drivers first before installing xp

Easycom: I wouldn't recommend upgrading the hard drive as it contains all of the restore data from Acer to return to factory settings, however you could always add an external USB hard drive.

2-Nov-2007 FG75: I purchased this laptop a week ago but when I turned it on for the second time it couldn't find an operating system so I had to install Vista again. It would have been fine but in the process I lost the free trial versions of Norton and Office. Is there any way I can recover these?

Easycom: Use the restore data on the hard drive partition as in the user guide. If this doesn't work please contact the manufacturer.

6-Nov-2007 veryunhappy: i have had this acer aspire 5310 only 10 days and there is several faults some of the buttons on keyboard are not correct above the 3 is supposed to be a pound sign but it is not it is # that so where the # key is i presumed would be the pound sign but no its\ that.also the @ and " are in the wrong places,this keyboard is a nightmare and also for someone who runs a business inadequate without a simple pound sign.also whilst typing in mid sentence the curser will jump about and type all over the place. i have sent numerous emails to support and havent heard a thing.some birthday present this is,its a joke,could someone please email and tell me whats goin on with this machine,

Easycom: Sounds like the keyboard setting is for a US keyboard, I'm pretty sure you can adjust this under the control panel.

Easycom: This will depend on the device compatibility most DVD players will run on MPEG-4 or DivX standards. So I would recommend using these formats to save you films.

Easycom: You don't say which software you are trying to use to play this. However Cyberlink power DVD is built in decoder, however if you are using Windows Media player try downloading the latest version.

Easycom: This laptop features a trial version of Microsoft office which would include Word and Excel, however as these are trial versions they will expire after a specified time and then have to be purchased. With regards to Vista, most issues are regards compatibility of older software.
