Easycom: Normal DVDs will be upscaled to fit the resolution of the screen, just like any other TV or computer. HD DVD will be higher quality because it comes in a higher resolution, so wont have to be upscaled.

Easycom: No, the turbo memory is a seperate quantity, there wouldnt be much difference if you upgraded it to 4GB, unless you had a lot of things open at once.

22-Oct-2007 almidillo: I want to connect wirelessly with my new 5920 to the net. I have B\band in the house via the phone cable. I am a Lecturer and travel to many venues mostly in N. Ireland but sometimes UK Mainland. Is there one piece of kit I can purchase will connect me in any situation,or will I have to buy several, and if so what are they, and in which situation will I need them?

Easycom: As the laptop features wireless connectivity when you are away from home this will depend on WIFI hotspots you will be able to connect to these through wireless without any other products. To connect through wireless at home you will depend on how your Internet is received. If you have a a networked modem that connects through a network card then you will need a wireless router. Easycom: None of them have integrated Bluetooth however can have it added with a USB adapter. The letters after the wireless LAN are wireless standards as different routers have different standards.

Easycom: You dont specify which Aspire 7720 you are reffering to, however i would recomend the LX.AK10U.037, however if you are looking at the LX.AHL0X.050 model i would go with the 5920 as this has the 1GB of turbocache and will run games better. As for sound output the 7720 has sound blaster compatible sound card, however both will have the same kind of out power.

Easycom: Yes it does have firewire, and features a line out scoket. It has 4 USB ports. There isn't a recovery CD it has a partition on the hard drive featuring the restore data inlcuding the OS.

Easycom: The operating system and 3 months Anti-virus are included.

Easycom: You can install either, however from what I have read i would recommend installing the 32 Bit version to to compatiblity issues.

Easycom: Yes it is possible to connect a second screen through the VGA port, however this features Acer Gridvista software which allows multi-window viewing through the one screen.

Easycom: Turbo memory is do to with the processor and chipset, whereas turbocache is based one the graphics card.

Easycom: There isn't a built in tv tuner, however you can add this with a USB adaptor.

Easycom: The maximum resolution of thisd graphics card is 2560 x 1600 running at 60Hz.

Easycom: This features the 8600 GS model and not the GT. We dont have any models in this range with the 8600GT card.

15-Aug-2008 lacerta: Hi. I am a student who needs a laptop for work purposes (like word and excel) but also wishes to use it for gaming. Would you recommend this laptop, or are there any others that may be better? Thanks.

Easycom: This is a good all round laptop with an NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS - 256 MB dedicated graphics so will handle pretty much any game out there at the moment. Word and excel aren't very processor hungry and so will run on any laptop.

16-Aug-2008 Quaife: is it possible to play my PS3 using the screen on this laptop using the HDMI ports if i dont want to buy a HD TV. Also can I downgrade the HD DVD drive to just a normal DVD RW.

Easycom: The HDMI port is an output so no on the PS3 compatibility but the HD DVD drive is capable of acting as a standard DVD writer aswell so no need to downgrade.
