Easycom: Completely depends on which model of processors are being compared. Intel Core2Duo processors currently have just an edge on AMD Turion 64 X2 processors - price for price, but you really need to look at the system as a whole. And will this AMD turion processor will be suitable for me? 2-Feb-2008 Richard Malin: I have just received my second 9304 from Laptops Direct. The first being bought for a friend who is delighted with it. In the few short weeks since my friend has had his 9304, the spec is now even higher (double memory and larger hard drive) and the price has gone down! Worth noting that this machine is supplied with Microsoft Works 8 but I don't think they tell you this in the spec listing. I cannot fault the pre-sales service from laptops direct or Acer direct, the only delay in delivery on my new machine being me sending in a document for proof of address only to be informed that it didn't actually containg my address! What a pillock! Nevertheless, the laptop was delivered in less than a week from sending my finance docs in and ParcelForce delivered it a day after dispatch even though I only paid for standard delivery. The Parcelforce tracking system is excellent by the way. So far, I am impressed with the level of service from the sales side of this company (Easy Computers

Easycom: Im not sure on the HP specs as you dont specifiy a model number as there are several DV6615's available and so I cant compare. As for the Acer, it will be ideal as are most modern day laptops for office applications and Internet use. It may struggle to run the latest 3D games with the limited graphics card but it will run less demanding games though, however for under £500 most laptops have integrated graphics cards and will struggle with the latest 3D games.

Easycom: The Intel has a bigger L2 cache and a faster Bus speed, however side by side there is not much performance difference for every day to day tasks. Only when using high demanding applications such as the latest games then you will see a greater difference.
