Easycom: The warranty covers all manufactures defects that prevent you using the laptop, however there is an excess on the screen of 100 Euro + IVA if it is damaged.

Easycom: No, it makes 3 years in total after the upgrade, so 2 extra years.

7-May-2008 Dave: is there a product that offers screen protection if not what is the excess payable for screen repairs or replacement

Easycom: With Acer accidental damage warranties, the excess on replacing a damaged screen is 100 Euros plus VAT (so depending on the exchange rate, between around 60 and 80 GBP). Currently there is no Acer warranty pack that doesn't charge this excess. Please note that if the screen is faulty and not damaged, the replacement is free.

Easycom: No, this would need to be registered within 30 days of purchase.

SteveF: No, you can only extend the warranty within the first 12 months of purchasing the laptop.

Easycom: AcerAdvantage must be activated within 360 days from the Notebook purchase date, this term is reduced to 90 days from date of purchase if the accidental damages are covered.
