26-Jul-2007 matty: Does his enable me to turn my laptop on and off, without having to open the screen. I bought an Acer aspire 5000. With it a 17'' monitor, but if I plug it in the monitor doesn't work properly when the laptop screen is open and turns off when I close it. I want to be able to use the laptop without having to open it up.

Easycom: Acer notebooks are designed to run with screens open as it increase the ventataliation available to the notebook. We consequently do not recommend or sell any docking stations which allow screen down operation.

19-Jul-2008 Acer_Aspire: Will this work with Acer aspire 3680? I am looking for an alternative source to power my laptop as power jack is broken.

Easycom: No, this is for Acer TravelMates. I suggest you buy a universal power adapter such as CUA0001B

Easycom: Sorry, this is compatible with the TravelMate 6xxx laptops only. We do sell a universal docking station - Have a look at product code ACP50EU

3-Sep-2008 Con: Csn I use this with the acer aspire one - if not can you recommend a good docking station (with a dvd drive).

Easycom: This model is for the travelmate range. The acer ones are not built to dock but you can hook an external DVD drive via the USB port.
