Easycom: Yes, you can install Ubuntu on this laptop without problems.

Easycom: This will depend on you printer connection, if it connects with a serial connection then no if it is a USB connection then yes. You can connect using a dial-up connection as it has built in 56K modem. The LX.AY30X.049 has a faster processor, larger hard drive and a better graphics card.

2-Dec-2007 Gav_Marge: With the Aspire 5700 range laptops is there a dedicated slot to insert a graphics card, for example PCI-E, if you wished to upgrade it personally?

Easycom: Unfortunately the graphics card cannot be upgraded.

Easycom: You will need another power adapter as this will be supplied with a UK adapter. You can use a mouse with it, and listen to cd's. It has a memory card reader and a webcam.

5-Dec-2007 Jakub: How is it with warranty? If I buy with standard 1 year warranty and something happen do I have to send laptop to Acer nad pay for it or You will arrange collection? If I pay now all amount is delivery free?

Easycom: This doesn't have Bluetooth, both systems will offer a similar performance with the specifcations been so similar the only difference is the 5720 has a slightly faster processor.

Easycom: It is 6-Cell Li-Ion Battery. And its life is uptop 2.45 hrs Depending on use.

Easycom: Yes this laptop would be fine - It has integrated wireless and there are no problems with installing Office XP onto Vista - It works just fine!

Easycom: Yes this laptop will be fine with that printer/scanner. It's a good all-round laptop and will be fine with emails/msn/games - but for great performance in 3D games, I would recommend spending a little more to get a laptop that has a dedicated 3D graphics card, such as LX.AN60X.001

Easycom: Can't really answer that one without some more info. If you are within you're first week of purchase then you will have 24/7 freephone technical support, they should help, if not then try your broadband provider.

peterh: This laptop is great for watching movies - You can watch DVDs from other regions if you use software such as AnyDVD. In the UK, we are region 2. New Zealand is region 4.

Would also like to know how to connect to the internet while im on the move in my campervan. Would this be possible? No nothing about computers so if this is a stupid question sorry!

SteveF: The process is fairly automatic. There is an icon in the bottom right which lets you know its picked the internet up. You click on that icon and select the network you would like to use and you should be up and running.
