Easycom: Yes, this memory is compatible - and the Sony N21E has 2 slots for memory.

10-Mar-2008 confused fella: i have an Acer 1693 WLMi laptop with 512 mb. i want to upgrade to 2gb. will this memory be compatible? if not which memory is compatible?

Easycom: That memory will be fine - Be aware that if the current memory (512mb) is slower than the new module, the new module will only run as fast as the slower 512mb one. To avoid this, you can remove the 512mb module completely.

21-Mar-2008 Cautious: My Aspire 7003WSMi has 512MB RAM so I still haven't installed Vista (although I've had the discs for almost a year!). Will Vista work more efficiently with this product or is the 512MB Laptop Memory PC2-4200 sufficient for the upgrade I need?

Easycom: The most noticeable increase in performance with Windows Vista comes from having 2GB of memory. I would suggest you buy two of the 1GB memory modules and install them both. Alternatively you can buy one 2GB module to leave room for a later upgrade to 4GB.

12-Sep-2008 Alan: I have an Acer 5502WXMi with 512Mb. Does it matter if I upgrade it with RAM running at a faster transfer rate e.g. PC2-5300 etc? Or is my laptop only compatible with PC2-4200 RAM? I intend to replace both modules completely.

Easycom: You would need to replace it with the same speed ram, even if you are changing both sticks.
